Designed to excel at climbing
Named after arguably the steepest climb in Catalonia, the RAT PENAT is a svelte modern steel road bike built to be light. It excels at climbing and takes full advantage of the weight savings that rim brakes offer.
Modelled on classic road geometry, the RAT PENAT screams to be ridden hard up the climbs and fast on the descents. Carefully selected tubes paired with an untapered steerer deliver a higher level of traction - flexing to follow the contours of the road and feeling like its being ridden on rails.

A modern classic
Disc brakes dominate modern designs but the stresses disc brakes put through a frame require extra material. Simply by shifting to the classic purity of a rim brake design great leaps can be made weight savings.

Classic Road Geometry
Using our extensive fitting experience based on repeated analysis and observation of rider positions we developed the Classic Road geometry to enhance rider comfort and increase stable handling while maintaining classic race credentials. Stack height is kept suitably low for a balanced position without sacrificing the ability to ride all day long.
