The Wind 40 offers a distinct aero advantage yet impressive weight and handling where it counts most. The Wind 55 capitalizes on the smoothing of airflow from the front wheel as the increase in rim depth provides Fulcrums optimal low drag coefficient.  

Fulcrum Wind rim profiles have been developed through countless wind tunnel cycles, real world testing, and subsequent laboratory analysis. With relentless attention to detail the rim shape has been specifically designed to provide a flat transition between the tyre and the rim to maximise aerodynamics. The innovative rim profiling also provides easier handling with the objective of reducing the effect of side winds on the ride as much as possible for adaptability to any course and weather condition.

The unidirectional carbon fibre rim features Fulcrum Mo-Mag technology which allows for a completely sealed spoke bed to facilitate perfect tubeless integration, a 19mm internal width is perfectly suited to support popular 25 and 28c tyres. The 24 straight pull double butted steel spokes are threaded to each rim by hand using nipples which are moved into place with magnets in Fulcrums Italian wheel building facility. The spokes are laced to a sealed bearing CNC machined aluminium hub.
